Jefferson Union
Jefferson Union is a new tax credit development that is scheduled to be complete in
the Spring of 2012. This will be a modern, spacious development constructed in the
town of Wytheville.
Jefferson Union will be a 24 unit complex, with 12 units designed and constructed
for persons with disabilities, and Section 8 Project Based Voucher Assistance
available in 16 of the 24 units for qualified individuals/families.
The complex will include 8 one (1) bedroom units and 16 two (2) bedroom units.
Each one bedroom/one bath unit is 812 square ft and each two bedroom/1.5 bath
unit is 1,100 square ft. Amenities included are water, washer/dryer, kitchen
appliances including dishwasher, roll-in showers in units designed for persons with
disabilities, and all units are non-smoking. No pets will be allowed except for service
animals.
WRHA is currently taking applications for the Jefferson Union development. All
applicants must be income qualified with apartment rentals beginning at $386 per
month for one (1) bedroom and $471 per month for two (2) bedroom apartments.
